Circus, clowning & mime
Come along and have a fun time of discovory!
Jill I'Anson and Steve Bell have a great line up of clowning and mime workshops for you to explore.
Clowning can be a powerful way of relating to people on a level that is safe and inviting, and a wonderful way to build a sense of community and connection with those around us. Learn skills in juggling, magic, clowning, mime and some surprises thrown in. There will never be a dull moment as you discover and develop your own clown and also produce some acts that can be performed as a group.
Jill I'Anson

The performing arts have been Jill’s passion for some years but it was on a Festival outreach to Greece during the Olympic Games in 2004 where she had a “go” at clowning and loved it. Since then she has clowned at Sydney Carols by Candlelight, Pageants, churches, retirement homes, schools, shopping centres and shows around Tasmania Festivals, travelled to China to the May Day Festivals and again to Greece for outreach Festivals.. She has run Workshops and enjoys helping others become spontaneous, discovering their inner “clown”, bringing joy, happiness & laughter to children and adults alike.
Jill will be helping participants to create their own clown character, how to engage people, gather a crowd and connect with them spontaneously, clown makeup for beginners, clown skits and routines, finding and creating your own fun props, storytelling, simple magic tricks, how to work at festivals with activities such as balloon sculpting, face painting and plate spinning. There will be some surprise activities as we have some fun together.
