Faith and the Arts Summer School - held each January in Poatina
The Faith and the Arts Summer School is a practical week-long residential program that offers the chance to focus on a variety of creative arts in the context of a Christian faith community.
The Summer School happens every January (usually the 2nd week) in the unique and picturesque setting of the Poatina village community in Tasmania’s heartland.
The Summer School is suitable for any adult or mature teenager who is wanting to explore their creativity and develop artistic skill in the context of a supportive faith community. Participants choose just one elective to focus on for the week and whilst artistic experience is helpful, it is not required for most electives.

Faith and the Arts, continues every day and evening from 4pm on a Sunday to the following Sunday 11am. It’s a fairly intensive integrated program, and we ask that people join us for the whole time.
Accommodation
Budget hostel style accommodation is provided at the Poatina Golden Chain Chalet, where discounted motel rooms are also available at extra cost. Please contact us for more information on other accommodation options.
What to Bring
Most art materials will be provided for most electives. Further details of what to bring will be advised on application.
Travel to Poatina
We offer a free airport pickup and drop off service to and from Poatina from Launceston airport. Qantas, Jetstar, Virgin Blue and Tiger have flights into Launceston from Melbourne and Sydney. Registration
Complete our online REGISTRATION FORM (in August for 2013) and click submit. You will receive a confirmation email after completing the form and payment of your fees. Payment can be through Pay Pal or Credit card.

Poatina Resort Village, Tasmania.
Poatina is located about 35 minutes from Launceston Airport on the edge of the magnificent Great Western Tiers World Conservation Area. The hospitable Poatina village is the perfect place to explore your creativity, with its rich community life and inspiring natural setting.
Costs
Costs are per head and include course fees, journal, budget accommodation, food, and basic workshop materials, except for the glass electives which attract an extra fee to cover the high running costs associated with those activities.

Additional Cost only if doing Hot Glass: Hot Glass Elective materials fee - $350 per person
